Dr Chathura Kahawala is a dedicated and compassionate General Practitioner with more than a decade of experience providing high-quality healthcare to Australian communities. Originally from Sri Lanka, he completed his medical degree in 2004 before relocating to Australia in 2010. He later attained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), further strengthening his commitment to delivering excellence in primary healthcare.

Dr Kahawala is passionate about providing holistic, patient-centred care and enjoys supporting individuals and families through all stages of life. He values continuity of care and works closely with his patients to develop personalised healthcare plans that promote long-term health and wellbeing. His approach combines evidence-based medicine with compassionate care, ensuring patients feel heard, respected, and supported in their healthcare journey.

His clinical interests include chronic disease management, men’s health, women’s health, antenatal and postnatal care, child health, and geriatric medicine. Dr Kahawala is also experienced in diabetes management, asthma and COPD care, iron infusions, immunisations and travel vaccinations, WorkCover consultations, and minor surgical procedures. He has a strong focus on preventative health and helping patients maintain their health and independence throughout every stage of life.
